Galesburg CUSD #205:
|
Galesburg has a long and storied history founded on hard work, equity, and innovation. We are proud to be the home of Illinois' first anti-slavery society, the site of the 5th Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and the hometown of Mary Ann Bickerdyke and Carl Sandburg. Amtrak and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway are prominent in Galesburg, and we will soon be home to the National Railroad Hall of Fame.
Much like the people and goods that move through our town, Knox College, Carl Sandburg College, and District #205 schools are working together to move ideas forward as well. We are utilizing Chromebooks and Google Apps for Education to develop personalized blended learning environments in our Kindergarten through 12th Grade classrooms.
